#flashback Lingerie Collection – Zahia Dehar
Fashion One takes us on a spectacular trip to see Zahia Dehar’s haute couture Spring/Summer 2013 collection of lingerie. The French lingerie designer has worked with photographers Karl Lagerfeld, Ellen von Unwerth and Terry Richardson as well as respected couture ateliers Jean-Pierre Ollier and Eric-Charles Donatien. Along with her lingerie line, she has created a self-named perfume.
Auguste Rodin has been quoted as saying, “Art is but feeling”, and these are words the controversial 21-year old takes to heart with her with risqué collection entitled Flower Season. Pink shades are all the rage in this fashion show. Here you will find cake-shaped minaudières and latex “whipped cream” pasties, low-cut bustiers, sheer camisoles, baby dolls, pasties, teddies and corsets.
Some of the more risqué and inventive garments in this collection include a sheer chemise accented with Baby Blue and Vista Blue flowers; bra and panties accented with Silver and Waterspout butterflies, carefully arranged to barely cover the essentials. Clear elastics hold the pieces in place, but of course they were never meant to stay on for very long, and; a bustier dress that resembles a bushel of wheat crossed with a pretty French maid’s costume in White with Ube, Turquois Green and Powder Pink flowers.
Ms. Dehar is no stranger to scandal and controversy and this collection is sure to inspire both. The garments are not for the faint of heart but will lead those who dare down a lovely path of flight and fancy.
