Amy O’Sullivan Interview
This episode of Fashion Week takes us to New York, where Barbara Tfank held her fashion show at the Leila Heller Gallery. Mallorie Carrington takes us backstage during the Barbara Tfank fashion show, which features her Fall/Winter collection for 2014-15. She talks with the designer, who describes her collection as being made with pieces that are practical, elegant, luxurious and glamorous. ‘Timeless’ is the word that describes her fashion collection. Jewel tones dominate the color palette of this collection, and many of the fabrics are developed from historic references.
The designer’s garments are made with such fabrics as brocade, floral, French jacquard, fur, platinum or champagne colored lame, silk, woollens and hand crochet. The garments for this show include the bustier, boleros, lace trousers, hand-knit sweaters, camisoles, pant suits, box-pleated skirts, evening gowns, full-length coats, cropped jackets and cocktail dresses.
Two unforgettable pieces were a Jet Black evening dress with shoulder-skimming décolleté neckline; Gold matelassé pencil dress with a wide, rolled neckline; full-length dinner coat in Red NCS with Gold floral pattern, wide collar and cuffed sleeves.
The models for this show include Amy O’sullivan and Madison Ritter.
